At our atelier on Mauldeth Road we alter and repair clothes for women and men of every background. Because we draft patterns and make garments from scratch, we understand how a piece is built — so a hem keeps its drape, a taken-in dress keeps its shape, and a new zip sits flat and invisible.
Bring in the garment, try it on, and we pin and measure it with you. We agree the work and the price before we start, and we tell you when it will be ready.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much do clothing alterations cost in Manchester?
At Anna Stella, alterations start from £15 for shortening trousers, £20 for a simple dress or skirt hem and £8 for small repairs. Every price on this page is a starting price; we confirm the final price when we see the garment.
Do you alter wedding and prom dresses?
Yes. Prom and evening dress alterations start from £45 and wedding dress alterations from £120. Bridal work is priced after a fitting, because it depends on the fabric, layers and embellishment.
Can you replace a zip?
Yes. We replace zips on trousers and skirts (from £15), dresses with an invisible zip (from £22), and jackets and coats (from £30).
